AtriA Capital Partenaires, headed by Dominique Oger one of the pioneers of private equity in France, with managed funds of more than 300m euros, joins Naxicap Partners, the private equity division of Natixis (BPCE group). This operation confers Naxicap a leading position in midcap private equity with total managed funds amounting to 1.2bn euros.
The transaction also gives Naxicap Partners, previously solely funded by its sponsor, acces to a high-end investor base.
The deal, very complex due to the diversity of parties involved (management company, LPs, investment managers, acquiror, sellers) is part of the consolidation trend the PE sector is experiencing. DC Advisory Partners is one of the most active M&A advisers with several ongoing mandates in the financial services sector.
